Pasting copies from the Clipboard

Pasting copies from the Clipboard creates copies of the Clipboard items (documents or folders) in the selected folder.

The pasted items are different from the originals:

• New document numbers are assigned to documents
• Item names are appended with the text (Copy)
• The Status property of the items is set to the initial state of the life cycle
• Comments are not copied
• Subscriber notifications are not copied

To paste copies from the Clipboard in a document list:

1. In the navigation pane, select the folder into which you want to paste the Clipboard contents.
2. In the Documents view, in the ribbon, in the Clipboard group, click Paste Copy. The document list refreshes to show the copied items.

To paste copies from the Clipboard in a folder property page:

1. Open the folder's property page.

2. In the ribbon, in the Clipboard group, click Paste Copy. The navigation pane and property page refresh to show the copied items. The document list refreshes to show the copied items.
